Organizers

Use your own Google account and keep it secure. You control your forms and choose what to collect. Explain your purpose, collect only what you need, obtain required permissions, and respond to privacy requests. Keep downloaded responses private and set a suitable retention plan.

Publishing makes a form accessible to anyone with its link. A closed form accepts no new responses. Editing questions affects future submissions; earlier answers keep their original questions.

Participants

Taking part is optional. You can skip optional questions or leave without submitting. New forms save answers only on submission. The separate school study saves progress after consent, including incomplete answers, as explained in the privacy policy.

Submit information you are allowed to share. Do not impersonate others or include passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. A form does not guarantee a follow-up, service, or particular outcome.

Acceptable use

Do not use FieldNotes for spam, phishing, unlawful content, harassment, or collecting passwords, payment-card details, or highly sensitive records. Do not attempt to access other accounts or interfere with the service. We may restrict abusive use to protect the service and its users.

Children and schools

Arrange any required school or parent/guardian permission before collecting student information. FieldNotes does not verify age or parental consent. Contact us before using the service to collect personal information from children under 13.

Availability and requests

A success message confirms that a response reached the server. Interruptions can delay or prevent saving. FieldNotes is not an emergency service; contact an appropriate trusted person or emergency service for urgent help.
